Conrad Davis Gets a 15-Year Sentence

Conrad Davis was sentenced this February to a 15-year conviction after a shootout at the Brookville Speedway gas station took place in October of 2016. During the event, Mr. Davis’s fiancé, Ashley Sides, was shot to death by Brookville police officers who believed she was carrying a gun. During a confrontation at the gas station, where Ms. Sides was being detained by law enforcement, Mr. Davis fired one shot that hit Officer Henry Edds in the left arm.

Mr. Davis was represented by one of our skilled defense attorneys Antony Abboud. In January, Mr. Davis pleaded guilty to several counts, including manslaughter and felonious assault on a police officer. At the time, our client faced a sentence that could range from 10 to 37 years in prison, depending on the judge’s discretion and what firearms counts merge at sentencing.

On February 17, 2017, Mr. Davis was finally sentenced to 15 years in prison in a Montgomery County Common Pleas courtroom. The prosecutor wanted a longer sentence, but Mr. Davis had excellent legal representation.

Mr. Abboud is a partner and one of the founders of Gounaris Abboud, LPA. A highly rated attorney, he is an experienced former city prosecutor, which has given him extensive knowledge on how DUI offenses and criminal offenses are prosecuted. He has been involved in several successful jury trials and has handled many successful criminal and civil cases in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
