Attorney Nicholas G. Gounaris is a founding partner at the law firm. As
a skilled attorney, Mr. Gounaris has experience handling cases involving
all forms of complex litigation. Mr. Gounaris has successfully tried cases
in Municipal, State and Federal Courts. His law practice at the firm of
Gounaris Abboud, LPA, was built by being a strong advocate for his clients.
In the past he's acted in the capacity of prosecutor, magistrate and
acting Judge. As such, Mr. Gounaris is able to understand legal issues
from many different vantage points and that experience has proved invaluable
in assisting his clients.
A "Gounaris" has been serving the Dayton and Miami Valley community
for the past fifty (50) years as Nick's father, George J. Gounaris,
was not only an attorney in Dayton but also served as a Judge at the Dayton
Municipal Court, the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, General
Division as well as the Probate Judge for Montgomery County.
In order to stay on top of new developments in the legal field, Mr. Gounaris
has been involved as a member of many legal associations including the
Dayton Bar Association, The Ohio State Bar Association, The American Bar
Association, The Miami Valley Trial Lawyers Association and The Federal
Bar Association. Mr. Gounaris served two years as the President of the
Federal Bar Association, Dayton Chapter.
In 2011, Mr. Gounaris was included in the list of
Super Lawyers® in the field of Criminal Defense. In order to be recognized by
Super Lawyers®, an attorney must illustrate exemplary skill in the courtroom and
have their efforts lauded by their peers. Mr. Gounaris has since been
nominated by his peers to the

rating website recognized around the nation. Further, Mr. Gounaris has

Antony "Tony" Abboud is a partner and one of the proud founders
of Gounaris Abboud, LPA. Mr. Abboud is a long time resident of the Miami
Valley. He earned his high school degree from Centerville High School
then went on to the University of Dayton and earned a Bachelors Degree
in Criminal Justice Studies with a minor in Political Science. Upon receiving
a scholarship to the University Of Dayton School Of Law, he completed
his Juris Doctor and commenced a successful law career as one of the Miami
Valley's premier and criminal defense attorneys.
In 2011, Mr. Abboud was included in the list of
Rising Stars℠. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to the
Super Lawyers® list, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the
Rising Stars℠ list in the entire state. Mr. Abboud has since been voted to the
Rising Stars℠ list consecutively in 2012, 2013 and 2014. In 2012, Mr. Abboud was given

and criminal matters. In addition to his experience as a City Prosecutor,
Mr. Abboud has been involved in several successful jury trials, including
a murder trial where the jury found his client not guilty of Murder in
the 1st Degree, an offense that is punishable by life imprisonment. Mr.
Abboud has also handled multiple successful criminal and civil cases in
the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Mr.
Abboud is a Montgomery County DUI and criminal lawyer who handles all
aspects of Ohio DUI and Criminal Defense, including arrests, trial, hearings,
and all issues that you may face during a DUI and Criminal charge.

After graduating from the University of Dayton School of Law as a recipient
of the Dean's Scholarship, Ed spent five years honing his courtroom
skills in the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office. As an Assistant
Prosecutor, Ed gained valuable knowledge in the prosecution of felony,
juvenile delinquency, and child custody cases.
After learning the ins and outs of the criminal court process, Ed became
an associate attorney in one of Dayton's most prestigious and well-known
personal injury firms. Ed spent over twelve years litigating personal
injury claims of all types, including automobile accidents, motorcycle
accidents, dog bite claims, and injuries resulting from dangerous conditions
on property. Ed is committed to protecting the rights of injured people
and has handled thousands of personal injury cases in various courts throughout
Ohio and Indiana.

Tom Buchenroth is our firm's in-house investigator. He is a former
Federal Special Agent with more than 25 years of experience investigating
various types of criminal cases, including white collar crimes, drug crimes,
drug conspiracy cases, money laundering, and weapons charges. During his
time as a criminal investigator, he worked closely with federal prosecutors
managing criminal investigations. Tom also worked with other investigating
agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
This former Special Agent understands how criminal investigations work
and also is able to identify errors and omissions in law enforcement procedures.
He has brought his experiences and background to our law firm to help
clients by helping to thoroughly investigate their cases.
During a client's case, he will help our team build a solid defense by:
- Interviewing key witnesses
- Helping to prepare for trial
- Analyzing evidence
- Analyzing search warrants and affidavits
- Assessing discovery material
- Coordinating with other expert witnesses
Mr. Buchenroth has the resources and capability to find information that
can help our team successfully defend our clients cases. His expertise
